I never understood why the media (and bloggers) made such a big deal of it. Although the left is just as guilty on these issues; I can still remember laughing at the "Pretzel Incident" or when Bush fell off the Segway. I'd love to leave comments open on all of my posts, but even with spam filters in place, I get slammed with spam comments and trackback spam from time to time. WordPress 1.5 has better built-in controls, so I've been leaving more posts open. Hopefully, moderating each new commenter will keep the site free of pr0n, pills, and other junk. Exactly!
